As sustainability becomes a global priority, more industries are turning to tire-derived products for landscaping, construction, transportation, and environmental protection.   Tire-Derived Fuel & Tire-Derived Aggregate (TDF / TDA) TDF and TDA are widely used recycled tire materials. 🔧 Overview Rubber Powder Processing Unit Rubber powder is the final output stage of ambient tire recycling, where clean crumb rubber is further milled into ultra-fine particles. At this point, all steel, fiber, and impurities have been removed, creating a consistent powder suitable for coatings, polymer modification, sealants, molded components, and road materials. The final milling process is commonly completed using a high-efficiency tire miller to reach precise micron sizes. Typical rubber powder ranges from 400 microns down to 74 microns (0.400–0.074 mm). This fine material blends easily into new or existing polymer formulas, improving elasticity and performance. During this refining process, the material is shaped into uniform particle sizes with all fiber and impurities removed. Typical crumb rubber ranges from 3/8” down to 400 microns, depending on granulator configuration. Crumb rubber is widely used in sports fields, landscaping projects, molded rubber goods, and rubber-modified asphalt. 🔧 Overview  TDS (Tire Derived Shreds) Models HVST TDS TS-800/1200/1500/1800 Tire-derived shreds (TDS) are the initial output generated when whole scrap tires pass through a primary shredding system. As tires are fed into the shredder, they are broken down into coarse rubber pieces—generally around 2″–6″, though the exact size may vary with the first pass. These primary shreds can also be re-circulated through the system when a smaller, more consistent particle size is required. Each TDS batch naturally contains rubber, steel wire, and textile fiber, since this stage focuses only on volume reduction. Processors may sell the material directly in this form or continue refining it into more specialized end products. TDS has a wide range of downstream applications, from alternative fuel sources to civil engineering and construction projects. Terminology also changes depending on the final use.
