Rubber powder is the final output stage of ambient tire recycling, where clean crumb rubber is further milled into ultra-fine particles. At this point, all steel, fiber, and impurities have been removed, creating a consistent powder suitable for coatings, polymer modification, sealants, molded components, and road materials. The final milling process is commonly completed using a high-efficiency tire miller to reach precise micron sizes.
Typical rubber powder ranges from 400 microns down to 74 microns (0.400–0.074 mm). This fine material blends easily into new or existing polymer formulas, improving elasticity and performance. Rubber powder can also be produced as part of a complete rubber powder production line or as the final step following a tyre granulator machine.
